So Much to Do...Make the Time!

There's so much to do in Sumner County that it's easy to lose track of time! Select your favorites from the menu on the left.

Relax and create new memories. Enjoy country cookin' at Long Hollow Jamboree, or have an elegant dining experience at September's Restaurant. Tastings are offered daily at our wineries (Sumner Crest and Long Hollow Winery), and check out The Palace, the South's oldest silent movie theater in its original location.

Trinity Music City USA is home to Trinity Broadcasting Network, the world’s largest religious television network. Free tours of the facility are available, including the studios, auditorium and gift shop. This property was formerly known as "Twitty City," and was owned by country music legend Conway Twitty. His mansion is still on the grounds, and available for tour.

Outdoor activities include golf, frisbee golf, a mountain bike trail, and many sports events. Of course, Old Hickory Lake is our featured attraction! Golfers will want to check out our local golf courses and driving ranges.

History plays a huge role in our county...this area was the frontier being explored when George Washington was President! We're fortunate to have seven historic homes and two fort sites which are open to the public. You'll be able to stand in rooms where Andrew Jackson, Sam Houston and other founding fathers of our country had dinner, planned strategy and danced the night away. For the shopping enthusiast, the shops around Gallatin's Historic Square will bring a smile to your face. Hendersonville and Gallatin also offer major department stores and restaurants. For upscale shopping, visit the new Streets of Indian Lake complex for stores like Coldwater Creek, Bath Junkie and much more!

And, if that's not enough for you, we're only 20-30 minutes from Nashville! Stay a little longer and take in the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Grand Ole Opry, or some Nashville nightlife.
