Have lunch at Five Chefs Restaurant, located in the historic Gossett House. Choose a traditional meat and three, or select from a variety of sandwiches, soups and salads. Browse through their gift shop, Occasions, where you can find home decor, jewelry, or a unique gift item.

Just off I-65 at Exit 117 you’ll find Sumner Crest Winery, which offers several varieties of wine for daily tastings. Also browse through the antique glass and car collection. Visit the annual Grape Stomp Festival in August.

Be sure to check out Cold Springs School House, a one-room school museum, located in Richland Park. This historical site is open by appointment.

Stop at Bradley's Kountry Acres for fresh fruits and vegetables. Pick your own or purchase directly from the farm stand. Bradley's also offers an assortment of spring flowers. This is a great family experience!

Plan ahead: Once one of the nation’s major suppliers of strawberries, Portland is host to the Annual Strawberry Festival. This celebration of the strawberry has been held each May since the 1940’s. Enjoy a children's area, live music, craft vendors, and feast on delicious, locally grown strawberries.
